Words

2016 is our year of Breakthrough Blessing or as Jerry Savelle prophesied for 2016, The year of Great Breaking Loose. No matter what the first 1/2 of the year has looked like, what are you saying and believing? Are you like the Apostle Paul who declared "none of these things move me!" Are you still declaring and believing for the fulfilment of all God has said to you or have you allowed yourself to come under the pressure of circumstances

Words ?

2016 is our year of Breakthrough Blessing or as Jerry Savelle prophesied for 2016, The year of Great Breaking Loose.  No matter what the first 1/2 of the year has looked like, what are you saying and believing?  Are you like the Apostle Paul who declared "none of these things move me!" Are you still declaring and believing for the fulfillment of all God has said to you or have you allowed yourself to come under the pressure of circumstances of being too busy, not enough time for the Word of God or prayer, pressures of just living life, things don't just seem to be turning out right for me, so maybe if I back off from pressing into the Kingdom of God things will ease a little.

Often times when things are not going right we go looking for something new when the problem is not always needing something new but simply doing what we know to do.  Going back to the basics.  One of the basics or foundational areas of Christianity is what we say, name it and claim it, blab it and grab it, hung by our tongue.

What words are you saying?  I can’t afford that, I’m broke, I’m sick and tired of that, I’ve got no time, I’m tired, winter is here and I guess I’ll be sick again, I always get sick in winter. I do know this, "What you sow to is what you will reap." the bible says, "If you sow to the flesh you will reap the flesh, if you sow to the spirit, you will reap of the spirt."

You can have what you say yet most people are saying what they have.  God created this to be a word activated world.

Your human spirit believes the words you say more than it believes anyone else's words. Your spirit is designed by God to cause the words it hears and believes to come to pass in your life, particularly if it hears you saying them.

Proverbs 18 : 21    “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: they that love it shall eat the fruit of it.”

Jesus said, “My Words are spirit and they are LIFE.”  If His words are life then anything other than His words is death.  The word translated “power” in Hebrew is YAD, literally means HAND or AUTHORITY, I’m putting this in your hands. God has put all things pertaining to life and death in the hands or authority of our tongue.

V 20     “A man’s stomach will be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth. From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.”

Proverbs 15 : 4      “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.”    Wholesome is a healing, refreshing, delivering tongue, is a tree of LIFE.  A wholesome tongue is one that speaks truth in the midst of every kind of circumstance of life, good or bad.  Jesus said "My Word is truth." Perverseness :- twist, distort, turn upside down, ruin.  Breach :-    breaking, fracture, crushing, crash, ruin, shattering.

A tree produces fruit.  What type of fruit is your tree producing?

Matthew 12 : 33_37     33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Either, make the tree good or bad, you choose.  You’ll be known by what you speak.  Out of the abundance of the heart.  We can’t get away from this truth, whatever is in your heart in abundance will come out.  Judgmental, critical, divisive, negative, or are you kind, loving, forgiving, positive, honouring and supportive?  Are you controlling your body and the circumstances of life by the Word of God (truth) or are they controlling you?

IDLE (argos) = free from labour, shunning the work which should be done.

By our words we will be justified or condemned.  Not the words of others or of circumstances but by our own words.  Life and death, blessing or cursing are set in motion by our words.

NLT -acquit you or condemn you

MSG - words are powerful, take them seriously

YLT - declared righteous, declared unrighteous

Look at what Jesus is called to do.

Hebrews 1 : 3  “Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by THE WORD of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.”   Jesus is responsible for upholding all things by the word of His power.  It’s His calling. His word carries power.  Your words carry power, they carry creative power.  Jesus said, “my words are spirit and they are life.” Your words are spirit and life.

Hebrews 3 : 1 shows us more of this calling Jesus carries toward us.

“Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus.”   God called and appointed Jesus to be the High Priest of our confession.  Jesus is faithful over what the Father has called Him to do, called Him to be High Priest over His Words in our mouth.  The Word of His power to uphold all things in your life is in the power of YOUR tongue.  This Word has to be in our mouth, it does you no good while it is left in the book.  The priest in the Church of South India.

Hebrews 4 : 12_16.      “For the word of God [in our mouth] is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [saying the same thing].15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are,  yet without sin.16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

We must be committed to only be saying the same things Jesus says if we want to get Jesus results.

Hebrews 11 : 3a          By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God.”  Framed the worlds by the Word of God.  What words are you using to frame your world?

Hebrews 11 : 3b          so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”    So that the things ---.  Things we see are made by things we do not see.  Spirit things.   (devar = words)

Proverbs 12 : 14       A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, And the recompense of a man’s hands will be rendered to him.” Yad :- authority or power.

Romans 4 : 17(as it is written,  “I have made you a father of many nations” ) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.”     This faith of God is to create things in this natural world by words.  Not just our words but the Word of God, spoken out our mouth and believed in our heart. God is wanting us to live just like He lives, by faith, calling those things which do not exist as though they did. Creating our lives with the Word of God.

Isaiah 55 : 10 _ 11.    “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”    His Word always accomplishes.
